Funding to construct a 10MW Battery Energy Storage System that will provide a range of services to the electricity grid to ensure power security

Nash Business Capital Ltd (‘NBC’) is providing up to £5,200,000 of funding to Doncaster 10 MW Ltd, to develop a 10MW 1 hour duration BESS project in Doncaster, Yorkshire. The site will provide a range of balancing services to the electricity grid to ensure power security, system flexibility and support renewable power generation expansion.

Edina, an experienced UK based power generation engineering, procurement and construction (‘EPC’) contractor, is assembling the project under a turnkey EPC agreement and thereafter will provide ongoing operation and maintenance (‘O&M’) to ForePower under an O&M services agreement.  Edina is an authorised BESS integrator for CATL (the world’s largest battery manufacturer).
